The first thirteen epistles to the churches were written by Paul who was Apostle to the Gentiles. The letter to the Hebrews is unknown, although it is Pauline in its style. James, Peter, John and Jude wrote the remaining epistles.
Isaiah prophesied that Jesus would be anointed in the Seven Spirits of YHVH, Isaiah 11:1-3. Believers who are baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Spirit of YHVH receive the same anointing in the Seven Spirits of YHVH that Jesus received. The Seven Spirits of YHVH are stressed throughout the Old Testament, especially in Israel's Poetic writings; Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiates and Song of Songs.
In Revelation we learn that the seven churches are represented by the seven candlesticks before the throne of God and have the Seven Spirits of YHVH.
Throughout the epistles the writers draw our attention to the Seven Spirits by name; wisdom, understanding, knowledge, strength, counsel and the fear of the Lord. They knew these things represented the anointing and stressed their importance in the believer's walk in Christ. We cannot dismiss their importance in our Christian walk and ability to overcome the enemy of our souls.
