PROPHETS, THE VOICES OF A LOVING FATHER
The purpose of YHVH’s prophets is to be the voice of YHVH to his people. Spiritual decline started in the Garden of Eden. From then on the people’s relationship with YHVH was like watching the ebb a flow of the ocean tides. The people need only pay attention to what He has spoken to His prophets. YHVH stated in His Word that he has told His people what he will do before he does it. The prophetic warnings are meant to help the people understand their error in bad choices and to turn back to him. Something like a father saying to his children, "In one week I will spank each of you. Any of you who love and respect me enough to obey me will not suffer this punishment. The others will." If the people on this earth disobey YHVH's Word, His promised punishment stands. If they obey, His promises of blessings stand. YHVH never forgets His promises to the faithful and the disobedient.
Warnings of end-time prophecies in the OT are intermingled with prophetic warnings meant for a closer time period. Close prophecies would be impending captivity by nations such as Assyria, Babylon, Persia/Media, and Greece. A nation’s captivity is YHVH’s admonishment of that nation for their disobedience of His Word. End-time prophecies also refer to the promised Redeemer, the wrath of YHVH, the final Remnant of Israel, the last seven years of Daniel’s seventy-sevens prophecy, circumcision of the heart (promise of a renewed relationship with YHVH by his Spirit), and other subjects pertaining to redemption. The Book of Revelation in the New Testament speaks of the same things in like imagery. Reliable knowledge of that book is essential to understanding much of what the OT prophets spoke about the end.
Regardless of what is to come in the future, one’s (everyone’s) personal spiritual condition right now, moment to moment, each hour of each day is more important than tomorrow. It is more important than politics, possessions, wealth, or personal opinion. Having a continuous right relationship with YHVH protects eternal security. Tribulation happens. We can’t escape all of it but we can have peace in the midst of the storms. This is true for every race of people on this earth.
In order to make the end-time prophecies more obvious, the verses related to those subjects will be highlighted with their corresponding color. Some of the chapters are totally about one subject. In those instances only the key verse(s) will be highlighted. The side comments used in all of the books of the Yahavah Bible are also used to direct your attention to certain Scriptures.
